Written as a teenager and rediscovered years later in an old music book, “Lightyears of Grace” draws on the untold stories of escaping and starting over. With the likes of Bob Dylan, Van Morrison and Jimi Hendrix echoing through her childhood home, Ceinwen developed an early connection to music and a strong drive to write her own.
She is a Cape Town–based alternative indie artist with roots in folk songwriting — she began writing at 13, soon after learning guitar, and has since shaped a sound built on honest lyrics and stripped-back storytelling. Her music sits between folk songwriting and a more atmospheric, modern indie sound.
Alongside her music, she creates her own music videos and draws on a strong interest in poetry and visual storytelling. Her work focuses on real experiences — grief, growth, and resilience — told in a way that feels direct and honest.
“Honest, storyteller, cinematic.” — Cein, in three words
